Bodybuilding, Fitness och Figure har ganska hårda ”antagningsregler”, jag tolkar det som att man ska vara i Europa-toppen för att få delta. Classic Bodybuilding för amatörer har tillkommit i år och där respektive i Bikini har man inte samma krav på att vara i europaklass, så den som vågar vinner…?
För de svenskar som vill delta är det bara att ansöka om att få tävla utomlands. Förbundet vill ha ansökan senast 15 januari (för att 2011-licensen för den tävlande och dennes förening ska hinna lösas, anmälan ska dessutom hinna sändas till IFBB senast 31 januari).

New this year at the Arnold Amateur is classic bodybuilding, a division that mandates competitors’ height and weight is proportionate. ”Classic bodybuilding is becoming very popular internationally because it allows all athletes to compete on a level playing field,” Lorimer said. Many past Arnold Amateur winners have gone onto successful IFBB Pro League careers, including 2009 men’s overall champ Roelly Winklaar and 2010 winner Essa Obaid. Other Arnold Amateur winners who have turned professional include Maria Rita Bellow (women’s bodybuilding), Allison Ethier and Sylvia Tremblay (fitness) and Noemi Olah (bikini).
