Quote:Essen, Germany. „Finally”, most of you will say: In 2011 FIBO POWER proudly presents an official IFBB Bodybuilding-Contest with the ”Pro Championships powered by Ed & Betty Pariso” and gets together the stars of the scene in one competition. The respective contracts with the IFBB, the cooperation partners with Ed and Betty Pariso as well as the first sponsors are signed. The award includes prize money of 25.000 US Dollars and the starting signal for the contest will be given in Essen, Germany, at April 16th, 2011. Ronny Rockel already announced his participation.[img=http://www.fibo-power.de/bilder/fibo_power/head_fibo_power.jpg]In the last years FIBO POWER gained more international presence as Europe’s biggest meeting point of bodybuilding and weight training. For Jens Thieme, who is responsible for FIBO POWER, this was the only consequence: „The demands for a contest like this have increased a lot. The numerous fans of the bodybuilding sport in Europe tipped the scales so that we now summit the trade show with the pro-contest”, Jens Thieme says. Now the point is to transform all the ideas step by step on a healthy basis and to build it up successively.
The pre-judging will take place at the FIBO POWER stage in hall 10/11 at the exhibition centre Essen. The final in the evening complies in a setting that couldn’t be better: The Colosseum-Theater, a former Krupp factory building where steel was formed, has been hosting the stars for a few years. Nearly 1.500 visitors are welcome. Here, the athletes will fight for the victory and the three qualifying spots for ”Olympia”. To begin with, the Pro Championships are for men only.
The entrance fees have already been fixed by now. For real fans, a perfect Christmas present for sure. The VIP-ticket costs EUR 100,00, including a 4-day entry at FIBO and FIBO POWER, a welcome reception in the run-up to the evening event and many highlights more. Tickets for further categories are available from EUR 44.00 to EUR 66.00 and include the free entry at FIBO POWER for one day.
More actual information is also available at [www.pro-championships.com] by November 1st, 2010.

Quote:FIBO POWER brings the stars of the BB scene together for the first IFBB professional contest in the Essen ColosseumAt the beginning of the 20th century this was a place where cast steel was processed, now ”steely” men compete for the championship title in the Essen Colosseum. FIBO POWER and the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) really could not have found a more suitable location in the Ruhr metropolis to stage the premiere of the IFBB pro contest ”FIBO POWER Pro Championships powered by Ed & Betty Pariso”. The building, which has been a listed monument since 1989, was originally built in 1900 and 1901 on the eastern edge of the former Krupp cast steel works site in Essen as a factory hall and, unlike most of the surrounding Krupp industrial buildings, not destroyed during World War II. In 1995 and 1996 the historical building was converted to a theatre. The old steel construction and the glass roof were left visible in their original state – so this is an impressive setting for stars like Dexter Jackson, Ronny Rockel, Roelly Winklaar, Minna Pajulahti and Regiane Da Silva to appear in on Saturday, 16 April 2011!
A premiere fans have wished for for a long time: starting in 2011, FIBO POWER, which will take place from 14 to 17 April in Halls 9, 10/11 and 12 of the Essen Exhibition Centre, will stage an official IFBB bodybuilding contest and, with the ”Pro Championships” bring the stars of the scene not only to the trade fair but also together in a professional contest! Jens Thieme, Project Manager FIBO POWER, says: ”Half of the VIP tickets have already been sold. Four months before the event, advance booking is already running at full speed. We are delighted that the event is obviously very popular in the scene!”
The contest comes with 25,000 US dollars prize money – but for the athletes it’s about much more than ”just” money: it’s about the ”Olympia” qualification! And also, obviously, about the honour to be the first athlete to be entered in the list of winners of the professional contest! ”With this event, FIBO POWER is starting a new tradition”, explains Jens Thieme. ”Contests will be held in the following classes: IFBB Pro Men´s Bodybuilding, IFBB Pro Women´s Fitness. There will also be an amateur contest, the DBFV Bikini Cup.” In his view, this step is long overdue after FIBO POWER, as the European meeting place for the bodybuilding scene has gained increasing international recognition: ”There have been an increasing number of demands for a contest of this kind. The large number of bodybuilding fans in Europe were decisive in prompting us to crown the trade fair and the day-time programme with a professional contest in future”, says Jens Thieme. Now the task is to implement this idea step by step on a sound basis and to successively develop it.
The pre-judging will take place on the FIBO POWER stage in Hall 10/11 of the Essen Exhibition Centre. The finals will be held in the evening in the Colosseum Theatre in Altendorfer Straße which seats some 1,500 people. Tickets are available online on [www.pro-championships.com]. Prices range from 44 to 66 euros. The VIP ticket is 100 euro and also includes four days admission to FIBO and FIBO POWER, a reception preceding the evening event and other highlights. Detailed information is available on the Internet.

Quote:FIBO POWER Pro Championships powered by Ed & Betty Pariso +++ Also with IFBB Pro Women’s Bodybuilding +++Essen. Now it is fixed: also the IFBB Pro Women’s Bodybuilding will be included in the FIBO POWER Pro Championships powered by Ed & Betty Pariso. The finale round will be in the evening session at the Colosseum Theater in Essen on saturday, April 16. Not – as formally envisaged – on the main stage of the FIBO POWER, which takes place 14 – 17 april in halls 9, 10/11 and 12 of the Essen Exhibitions Centre.
So there will now be three competitions during which the athletes ”fight” for the ”Olympia qualification”: IFBB Pro Men´s Bodybuilding, IFBB Pro Women´s Bodybuilding, IFBB Pro Fitness Women. Additional there will be the ”DBFV Amateur Bikini-Cup”.
The time schedule:
Pre-Judging: 10.30 am Main Stage in hall 10/11 within FIBO POWER Expo

For women’s fitness, competing thus far are Minna Pajulahti and Regiane Da Silva. However, not on the list but hoping to compete in women’s fitness are Camala Rodriguez and Stacy Wright.Ladies in women’s fitness and women’s bodybuilding, if you want a chance to see a different country and compete to get a chance at competing in the Olympia at the same time, I highly encourage you to enter this contest.
