It starts the day before… It’s the day where Thomas is home and helps me with the competition color, which really is a whole day thing with me because I have so pale skin. We have to put on 4 layers, at least, and then I’m stil not dark enough. I also found a nailpolish in the exact same color as my bikini, so I also fixed my nails.
[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/DSC00230-225×300.jpg]I packed all the stuff for the competition, the bikinis, the posing music cd, the coloring products we put on just before getting on stage, make up, the food for more carb loading (ricecakes and jam) and food for after the comp (sandwiches, protein bars, chocolate..) clothes, camping mattres to lie on backstage (we all lie with our feet up to get the water out of our legs). I’m so happy that one of my very best friends, Dani, who’s a hairdresser comes with me to fix my hair, so I didn’t have to pack that stuff. Other than that it’s a carb loading day which means that I’ll eat 12 small meals, and send pictures to Helle, my coach, so she can follow along with how it works. These are from the evening:[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/IMAG0085-225×300.jpg][img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/IMAG0086-225×300.jpg]And then Helle didn’t think I was pumped enough so she actually send me out to eat a big burger! So here I am, late the evening before the comp, out wating to get the burger:[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/IMAG0094-225×300.jpg]Then we went home, and went to bed. I almost didn’t sleep that night. I was so excited
14 april, 2011 at 10:49 #131548Anonym anvandareMemberThe day of the competition started early. I got up to start with the make up, have some breakfast and drive to the place the competition was held. It was an hours drive, but I wanted to get there early to get a good place to be back stage, to have Dani do my hair, and to have time to just lie and relax there. Here with a sneak peak on my abs:
[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/IMAG0099-300×225.jpg]The weigh in at this competition was on the day (it’s usually the evening before, but not this time) and I weighed in at 63,8 kilos. Not much! I managed to get more cut than at the competition in December, but I have lost a bit of muscle in the process. I also don’t think I loaded enough. I just couldn’t eat more ricecakes… I could have been had a better full look than I did.
Then after the weigh in I had my hair done and Dani did a great job (as usual)…[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/IMAG0101-225×300.jpg]And fixing the last make up:[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/DSC00248-300×225.jpg]14 april, 2011 at 10:50 #131549Anonym anvandareMemberThen it was time for the first round, prejudging in the black bikini. Here’s a picture of all of us, I’m first and gets 4th place, second girls gets 2nd, third girl gets 1st (look at her shoulders, arms and legs, she deserves the win), fourth girl gets 3rd, fifth girl gets 5th.:
[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/IMAG0120-1024×771.jpg]There were very few points seperating me from the third place.
Then it was time for the second round, the posing routine. I just love it! I love getting on stage and pose and show off all the hard work, and everything went perfect. It couldn’t have been better.See a video of my routine here, and hear the crowd. It was so cool!!

And then right after it was the time for the third round, the finals. See a video of it here:

Backstage we had a great time, and the positive feeling among us athletes are amazing. I got to know Malin who competes in Bodyfitness/Figure. Such a sweet girl. She had come all the way from Norway to do this competition.
Malin and I:[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/IMAG0128-225×300.jpg]After the finals and getting the placing we stayed and watched the rest of the competition. The Bodyfitness/figure girls and the Bodybuilding men, and we was out at the stands with the different suplement brands and I did a little good for my sponsors walking around looking like this:[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/DSC00242-768×1024.jpg]I really want to thank my sponsors!Soma Nordic who makes sure I have the Udo’s Choice Oil.
Gymgrossisten.com / Bodystore.dk who makes sure I have everything else I might need.I had such a great time at the competition. I love it! If you can be in love with a lifestile, that’s what I am, and I know that sound so weird, but that’s the feeling I get. Everything just feels so right.
I am a bodybuilder.
I got the fourth place this time, as mentioned, and I had hoped for a top three placing. When I look at the pictures I can see why, and I don’t disagree with the judges. The girls that placed above me had overall bigger muscles. My ultimate goal is to win an international competition and I can tell you, I feel more motivated than ever to get better. Being so close to that top three this time. Knowing I could have had a better pump, a better color (I should have been darker) and I could have been more cut…
I now focus 100% on the next competition, Oslo Grand Prix, which is in 3 weeks. A lot can happen in 3 weeks… I still want to win!
It ain’t over till I win – and then it won’t be over either….[img=http://linekolbe.blog.com/files/2011/04/Poster_OGP2010_200-1298893196.jpg] -
