Quote:With 187 competitors registered this Friday evening, 2011 Men’s Worlds are going to be one of the biggest championships in the IFBB history. The Technical and Judges Meeting was the first point in the schedule of the event.Opening it, IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja emphasized that despite the worldwide economic crises we have been progressing. We came to Mumbai after the Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid, Women’s Worlds in Novi Sad and Pan American Games in Guadalajara. Within the next few weeks we will have Classic Bodybuilding Worlds and IFBB World Cup in Tallinn and Juniors and Masters Worlds in Santa Susanna. Very busy autumn season for the IFBB officials and athletes.
These 187 competitors are spread almost equally between all 9 official bodyweight categories, with the smallest number of athletes in 65 kg class (15) and the biggest number in 75 kg class (28).
