Second at the competition, which took place on Saturday, October 29, in San Diego, went to Krissy Chin, with Jami DeBernard taking the third Olympia-qualifying spot, both also unanimous decisions. The only change-up from what some might have expected is that Chin, who took fourth at the Houston Pro a couple of weeks ago (behind Anthony, Jelena Abbou and DeBernard), slid ahead of Jami into the runner-up spot.
Seventeen toned-and-terrific athletes made the trek to the Scottish Rites Auditorium stage for this one. Canada’s Natalie Waples, whose placings have had more ups and downs than a roller-coaster—she was 16th in Texas—took the fourth spot, with Crystal Chiles edging out Candice Lewis in a tie-breaker to round out the top five.
