My entire life, as much as I can recall, I've never really been a fan of cabbage (vitkål for my Swedish peeps.) But ever since stepping into the fitness world, I've made and tasted so much food items I actually hated but now I truly love! For example, I hated sweet potatoes, mushrooms and cabbage. Now its like they are apart of my life!
Earlier today for lunch and lately this week, have been making what I like to call "Chicken Stir Fry." Its a blend of shredded veggies you can say, and your choice of meat. I love chicken so I eat this meal with a lot of chicken. Recently I tried it with cod file (torsk file) but wasn't so interested in it (maybe if I was in a SUPER DUPER low calorie for an accomplished goal, I'd considered it) But chicken and mince meat are the absolute best choices. Grill your choice of meat and veggies of choice…
Put shredded cabbage in cold water from the start. Once it reaches to a high boiling level, lower to medium heat and boil for another 10 mins (drain afterwards.)
Chop choice of veggies that you'll want to add to cabbage and grill all together. (I love garlic! Strengthens your immune system! So why not!)
After you've drained your cabbage from excess water, pour over the cabbage. Now depending on your diet, you can season as much as you want or very little and the optional choice to add a bit of oil to it. (Mix with hands)
Then mix your choice of meat and VOILA!!! There you have it! What to do with the left overs?
Bag them up, freeze them up and eat them for later! Easy to take with you wherever you go! I like to put mine in my 6 Pack Fitness Bag… I feel so ORGANIZED when I do this! LOL!
